I saw this talked about in another thread. It seems like a lot of you got depressed on Sunday nights because that meant the weekend was ending. Me,too. I grew up hating Mannix and Glen Campbell because those shows were on right before I hit the sack. What other shows depressed you on Sunday nights? I remember "Trapper John.M.D." was also on Sundays. Mannix was a good show but it was always on Sundays. (OMG:I just reread this. I'm turning into a cross between mini-ditka & CGS. Sorry but what the hell,I'll let it fly) |

i fake loved grace under fire just to stay up another hour on sundays. i told mom it reminded me of our family, and that guilt tripped her into letting me stay up. |

George Michaels sports machine usually ended my nights not counting turning on PBS later in the evening hoping to see a bare breast on Monthy Python. |

I used to love Sunday nights as a kid. Starting at 10 it was WTTW. Brit comedy from 10 till 11 then Dr Who till midnight then TV off into bed and radio on to WLUP for Dr Demento Dave Allen at Large, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers. Man that was some great TV |

60 Minutes meant I had to get busy attacking the homework I blew off all weekend. |

Yeah, when the Simpsons started sucking ~10-15 years ago, I started hating Sundays. When I was younger, I liked Sundays just because Channel 50 had the Stooges on for 2-3 hrs. After that until now I get anxiety attacks over the thought of Sundays. |

The early years was 60 minutes followed by All in the Family, Mary Tyler Moore and I can't remember if they had Newhart following on Sunday, or switched the lineup. Somewhere in there they changed the lineup to 60 Minutes, crap for a while and Murder She Wrote. Believe I was in high school at the time. Murder she wrote was quite depressing. |

Didn't In Living Color come on Sunday Nights on Fox? After church, my aunt used to take me and my cousins bowling on 66th and King Dr. |

Ahh..yes...thought I remember coming home after bowling and watching In Living Color. And yes liked Roc's wife too, Ella Joyce. She was in that "Temptations" movie that came out earlier this year and although much older, is still looking good for a woman that's pushing 60. |

Sunday nights sucked ass doing all the homework you didn't do yet. Remember getting a sore spot on your middle finger (!) after writing for hours? |

In Living Color is very frustrating to me...the 1st 2 seasons are all-timers...but once Damon Wayans left it went downhill, some of the later years are unwatchable |

Hatchetman wrote: yes, do you micromanage or expect your kid to be responsible for him/herself. My wife did the micro-managing but that was just usually in the morning. My kids never bothered me once for homework help or anything else. We were lucky because I couldn't help them anyway. |

I hate Sunday nights and still do. The Amazing Race has now replaced 60 Minutes as my landmark for letting depressing slip in |

I start getting depressed at noon. If the Bears are playing I get anxious and depressed at the same time. I hate sundays. |

Hatchetman wrote: I start getting depressed at noon. If the Bears are playing I get anxious and depressed at the same time. I hate sundays. Football eases the misery a bit, but Sundays still suck. For ~8 mos. I worked on Sundays instead of Fridays. For the first few mos., my body didn't change & Sundays still felt like Sundays, in spite of having to go to work. But then football season started... Thankfully, I've been back on M-F since late April. If I ever have to work weekends again, I'm not doing Sundays. Sucks donkey dick having to go to bed "early" for work on a Saturday night. |
