Post subject:  2013 BMW Championship
The PGA Tour playoffs come to the northern burbs this week. The pros will be playing Conway Farms in
Lake Forest. I am looking foward to seeing the course on TV, never have had a chance to tee it up there.
Is anyone attending in person? Ugie? Should be interesting and the weather will be hot the first round
and then dive for the weekend.

This was from an interview discussing the BMW being played in Denver next year.... Essentially the old Western
Open is the current BMW Championship.

I'm the vice president of tournaments for the Western Golf Association, and the Western Golf Association is extremely excited to be here at Cherry Hills to bring back the 2014 BMW Championship to the great community of Denver and to present this event on a world-class stage. Western Golf Association has been conducting championships, both professional and amateur championships, since 1899, and is one of the world's oldest golf associations. In addition to the BMW Championship, we also conduct the Western Amateur Championship, the Western Junior Championship, and sponsor the Evans Scholars Foundation, and we are certainly looking forward to bringing the excitement of PGA Tour playoff golf to Colorado. Prior to the 1960s the Western Golf Association took what was then known as the Western Open out of Chicago to prestigious historic golf clubs around the country, and after being anchored in the Chicago area for more than 40 years, we've kind of gone back to our roots, and in 2008 we brought the Championship to Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, and in 2012 we're going to bring the Championship to Crooked Stick, and we're pleased to bring the Championship out here to Denver in 2014.

doubt many of the players have seen this one prior to this week.

Cog Hill spent millions revamping the Dubsdred course, and all of the pros hated it and said they wouldn't play there anymore, so the tournament left the course :lol:

Money well spent.

Some relatively good scoring today. Tiger is currently at -3 and in the top 10. Snedeker is
going apeshit and is at -8 thru 16 right now.

Apparently TW was seen working out today at the Lifetime Fitness in Vernon Hills. Wore his headphones and was pretty much left alone.

Conway Farms is not the most spectator friendly course in the world. Then again, neither was Cog Hill.

Rickie Fowler birdied his last three holes in a row yesterday to shoot a +6. He has slashed back to even
par with a score of -6 through his first nine holes today. :shock:

I was going to go, then I realized watching golf would be extremely boring, so I now plan on watching the dead leaves slowly trickle off my ash tree.

It appears that way. At least now that the "experts" can't keep blaming his struggles on his switch from Titleist to Nike. That was preposterous.
