Actually,if you go to that website, you will find out a lot about one of the great comics of the 60's & 70's,Jack Burns. He was behind the cult TV show,Fridays which featured Larry David & Michael Richards. He was also part of "Burns & Shreiber",one of the funniest comedy teams ever with the famous Cabbie/Conventioner skits. Those were great. He was partners with George Carlin and they remained friends for 50 years. He has been a guest voice on "The Simpsons and hosted SNL in the '70's. Quite a career for a guy that not many might remember.

That was one of the most twisted, yet underappreciated shows ever. I still laugh at the memories of a bizarro Michael Richards playing a 10 yr. old in a sandbox playing with toy soldiers.

Don't know what to believe, none of you guys are good with humor. If only Reason was here to complete the foursome.

I watched an episode of Fridays as a yout' at a family party.

Thinking, this is as close as I can get to SNL.

You guys are old.

On this, I call bull. You're actually older than I, given our past U of I "connections"

You just missed the Belushi SNL days because of the stamping parties attended as a Kenilworthian yout.

(where you couldn't wear your WMET t-shirts :P )

The crap that oozed from every tap at the old Playboy Club (yeah, the old man actually had a keycard and took me there as a kid in the mid 70s). And the same crap that sat in the back of the parents' liquor cabinet (damn that sounds dated  ), gathered dust & was too horrid to drink, even as a goofy 13-14 yr. old heading to a girls Catholic HS party.

Dust. Age. Old. Damn.

You just keep holding & eating that egg salad at 120 degrees in the local VFW all Friday nights & you won't have to worry about that. :D

Yeah. Their Beef Stroganoff was extra prestigious, if not ritzy, upper crusty and delicious. Remember, this was before microwaved Stouffers' microwave dinners really were an everyman's food.

And the bunnies.....oh the bunnies. Damn, I now remember the old man taking the whole family there once. Stupid move.

Stuffed shells were good. I'd go home for lunch sometimes.

Why stupid move?

Including his wife, my mother (and my two sisters) to the Playboy Club for dinner & then producing his KeyCard?!? Helluva initial grin on the old man iirc for awhile after we got there. Pops hit the Jack & Cokes....but now that I think about it, I never heard my mom mention any of this ....maybe you're on to something

Less hassle for her maybe? It doesn't matter where you get your appetite as long as you eat at home.

Where do you go for fun? PTA meetings, I bet.

Nah, I think he just wanted reminders of the old days; True;

If I wanted to chase amateur MILFs in training, probably. But that's another story.
