Was a really good guy on the board and know that he had posted some hardship. Hope the guy is well. Is he still posting?

I echo your thoughts... the board is a worse place without him. Jimmy, I believe his wife was having health issues, though I could be mistaken.

I think most of us come here for some laughs and some goofy threads ( ),politics, whatever. It sucks when real life interferes.

I thought he was getting Mickey Charles Mantle's liver transplanted in his body right next to his existing one. It may not be going well.

I sent him a message a few weeks back that was read, but never replied to. I hope whatever is going on that he and Mrs SR86 are doing OK.

I could not find the original thread about my wife, so I am posting here.

After a tremendously difficult and painful surgery performed at Loyola by the great masterful genius gynecological oncology surgeon Ronald Potkul, M.D., we were informed that great amounts of vile and wicked trouble making tissue had been removed. After several follow up visits, we have been told that the problem has not spread, and the surrounding tissues have, to date, remained unaffected. Praise the Risen Christ!

Of course, we will be on alert for years, if not decades, to come. At the moment, however, I have been moved to drop to my knees in humble gratitude.

I will be celebrating this wonderful news by immediately registering to be a poster at the Midwest Regional Sports Fan Board. Or perhaps I will not.

For all of you who sent well wishes to me, or sent prayers on our behalf, I am moved and I thank you with all my heart.

Good to hear, Mr. Roses, great news.

Despite being a Yankee fan and a lawer, you're one of the good ones.

Great news!

Now if only your team can get back to their rightful position and return all of damned Boston back to theirs. There's even a damned WS Champs ad atop this page as I type this. I can't take much more of this crap. Their bs & sanctimony is even worse than it would be if the fucking champs of Boystown ever won anything besides an attendance title....maybe.

Ho ho ho....I wouldn't count on that

IF they ever win, it will likely be completely nauseating to all non Cub fans.
