This doesn't seem like the fight most school administrators would be willing to spend lawyer fees on. |

That's fucking crazy. How are they still employed after stunts like this? Targeting disabled kids to reach a quota is fucking disgusting. |

But dealing with special needs kids you have all kinds of additional federal laws. The district will probably win though. They should of just given him a 45 day placement at alternative school and let him graduate if they were that hell bent on proving there point. |

The undercover asshole should be fired and probably arrested. They've fucked the kid up mentally for no reason at all. |

I'm trying to figure out if this is worse than tricking a retarded kid into attempting to bomb the Cactus Club. |

If the case was thrown out in court its gonna be hard for the district to win. Basically just throwing money away. No matter if they win or lose. |

I feel horrible for that family. I understand the parent's excitement that he had made a friend. That's a huge thing for many kids with that type of issue. It may not sound like much but parents spend years trying and putting their child in situations that could result in even just having a "school friend." IEPs are often written with specific goals like that in mind. So I can understand how the kid and his family would be crushed, just from a social standpoint, to learn what this was all about aside from the obvious ridiculousness of putting an actual drug sting on a student with autism. |
