I decided I wasn't going to wait until the last min this year to get. Early last week I went out and bought a bunch of candy to pass out to the kids. Wednesday afternoon I decided I would open a bag and have couple packs of M&M's (peanut) and as I'm typing this right now I've eaten all 50 bags. I am addicted.

Hah, it is tough to stop once you start. I gave up candy about two years ago. I figure I ate enough in my first 35 years to last a lifetime.

Oh, you may stray, but you'll always return to your dark master...the cocoa bean.

If you ask, most addicts or alcoholics in recovery have a good idea of just when they hit rock bottom. There’s usually a pretty dramatic story attached – going to jail, being involved in an accident, the loss of a relationship or a job.

One day they just had a moment of clarity and the fog dissolved to expose how rotten their life had become. The importance of hitting rock bottom isn’t about the drama; it’s about the change that can then happen afterward. The bad clears out enough junk for the good to have a chance.

That place stunts your growth. You hear about the Gulag? Given my anti-government thoughts, I'd end up in there quickly.

Absolutely. Once Nas starting talking about M & M's, the racist inside me was unleashed.

This is as big a swing-and-a-miss as thinking jimmy isn't at least 20 years older than you.
