I propose a new CSFMB Award on Veterans Day. "The Patton Slap" to be given to someone you respect that you feel "jumped the rails" in a certain situation.

My first nominee: Coach Trestman for not seeing what 10 million Bear fans saw,a wounded Jay Cutler.

Congrats Coach,now get it together and get back out there!

wasn't that slap a disgrace to the uniform, especially from a person so steeped in military etiquette?

I guess Patton couldn't understand an able bodied man using "mental anguish" as an excuse not to fight.
I think Patton was admonished for doing that but I have not checked that on the internet.

He was sort of reprimanded. Bradley was promoted past him because Patton was too crazy.

He was then basically used as a decoy in Operation Fortitude, which was interesting as hell. I always thought they should make a movie out of that.
