I don't mean to be insensitive to those who don't currently have jobs though they are free to say what they thought when they were employed. I'm just interested in how people feel about what they spend 1/3rd of their time(or more) doing. Happy? Bored? Under appreciated? Underemployed? Satisfied? Content? I'd say mine is a mix of being content and frustrated. I think I do good work and I think it's appreciated but there also are some barriers that are tough to overcome that makes things much harder. |

Other than the pay I love my job. I look forward to going to work everyday. |

Whatever the lowest satisfaction on the scale is mine is 1000 feet below it. It adds zero to society and I can't fucking stand it |

Hi Mini-Brick, I would describe mine as bored. We are very slow right now, but I like the people I work and have always enjoyed coming into the office. |

Bored. But I've gotten exactly what I deserve. I didn't apply myself in school, didn't take advantage of some things I could have and now I'm almost 20 years in on a job thats pretty mind numbing. I work with some cool people which helps. Hopefully, the company and I will last 10 more years and I can retire. |

I like what I do but I just submitted a document to my boss yesterday stating point by point reasons that my job has changed a lot since being hired to do it back in 2006. I asked for the job grade and salary to be increased. I expect absolutely nothing to happen. Morale and job satisfaction in my group seems to be about as low as I can remember in almost 10 years here. Company is doing well and stock at an all time level but money is not filtering down to the little people and they are not hiring open positions blaming either job freezes or not finding the right candidate. In the meantime the people that are here have to pick up the slack with no immediate relief in sight. As I mentioned I am happy with what I do and my job performance has increased since being asked to do more but just would like to be appreciated a little bit more. My yearly raises have barely covered inflation and there were a few years where there were pay freezes so I'm a bit behind where I hoped to be at this point. |

I have strong job security which is nice. I'm bored/underemployed/undervalued though. |

I would enjoy my job a lot more if I were downtown,in the inner city , or steps away from a CTA train or Metra. |

Mind numbing. But the $/effort ratio is pretty good so I stay. |

Mixed bag. Being able to work from home always puts my annoyances at work in perspective. But I'm managing accounts... and having to deal with a really bad support situation is about as aggravating as it gets. Lots of frustrations around that. But like mentioned before, the $/effort ratio works and there are a few other opportunities out there I am starting to explore a little more. |

Very frustrated. Serious lack of communcation on all levels. The complete lack of modernization and self awareness guarantees me at least fivr hours of OT per week. I took the job because of health coverage. This is is still 1000 times better than the salt mine I worked at a few years ago. |

Loved my last job until I got my last supervisor. She made it her mission to find a way to get rid of me. Got her wish when I got cut back. |

My husband is happy, challenged, but at times frustrated with his job. For the most part, he likes it. I'd like to get one but not sure if I will. |
