I am very careful when on the green and the fairways aren't often a problem for me. If I am in a situation where
I can't spit it out somewhere appropriate I have no problem not spitting it at all. Luckily I have a pretty strong
stomach. Hopefully not a problem in 2014 although quitting is easier said then done. I think after I go to the
dentist in two weeks that will be a good kick in the butt to just do it.

It's not the end of the world to remove it, but there is an etiquette, by which golfers are expected to observe, especially on an $80 per round course. $80 for the rest of you savages. I play for free as a guest of a member.
