Pretty simple. Some game didn't turn out the way it should have. Not a season or a play, but a game.

Illinois should have beaten North Carolina in 2005. Illinois had a better team and had gone through losing Self, buying into a new system, having the unbeaten streak, coming back against Arizona. Too much to let Sean May and 5 foul calls in 9 minutes for Augustine not allow them to finish the way it should have.

Honorable mention - We should have won our first round game in my 8th grade tourney. We just beat that team by 25 three days before that. Refs were on the take when 4 starters foul out in 3 quarters. Come on. That never happens. I was out there moving from the power forward to the point trying to keep that thing together. That was bullshit.

2002 World Cup quarter final US vs Germany. Fucking ref should have given Torsten Frings a red card and the US a penalty kick for a handball in the box. US wins. I'm sure they would have beaten South Korea in the semi final. That would have left them playing for the World Cup against Brazil. A tough game for sure, but damn I'd have loved to see it.

2003 Game 6 is way too easy.

I'll go with Hawks vs Canucks in game 7.

NCAA Final Four - DePaul vs. Indiana State. DePaul was better and I wouldn't have had to hate the great Larry Bird for as many years as I did.

1983 IHSA AA Track & Field 800M relay semifinals....we were so close to one of those big assed 3ft state trophies (coulda won state. State dammit!), but for a bad baton pass.

Is it too soon to wish the Hawks never decided to start Khabibulin tonight?

I agree. One of the most fun season's I've ever had watching a team. The Arizona game is probably one of my top 10 games of all time.

If I can't pick the Cubs then give me the Rex Grossman led Bears in the SB.

They passed the ball better than any team I've ever seen.

Come on. At least respect the spirit of this. Pick a team that actually had a legitimate chance of winning.
