I make the bird, gluten-free stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes and apple and pumpkin pie. I let the guests take care of the rest. The wine gets opened at ten and I'm buzzed enough by the time they arrive to tolerate them. |

you know some people dont have anything to eat on thanksgiving. its pretty hypocritical of you to boast about your roast as if you are somehow better then most. |

Turkey, stuffing w/pork sausage and one with raisins, taters, corn, biscuits. Nothing fancy, but all quite good. We even make the dog a special little Thanksgiving plate. She eats everything, but leaves the cranberries for last. |

Same as Xmas, either Chinese food or a tip/link combo. I hate turkey & usually eat around 11-12ish so I can just have a small plate w/the family @ the dinner. |

Mr. Reason, how do you make a gluten free stuffing? Do you use gluten free bread? We have a family member with gluten issues, so I'm curious. |

I make mine out of sausage, celery, onion, schar or udis bread, imagine broth, sage, thyme, parsley, salt and pepper. Aleia's has a pretty good packaged one too. |

I will be making 2 turkeys this year, roasting one of them and smoking the other. I will also be making a ham for the guests who are not big turkey fans. Smoking the bird is by far the best way to cook it IMO. I need to make a run to the liquor store to stock up on some microbrews tomorrow. |

This is exactly the recipe my wife uses for gluten free stuffing. Whole Foods has really good gluten free pie crusts too. And i found gluten free bread cubes there also. tonight. |

newper wrote: Mr. Reason, how do you make a gluten free stuffing? Do you use gluten free bread? We have a family member with gluten issues, so I'm curious. I use a product called Chebe. It's made from tapioca starch. I get it off Amazon. They also make an outstanding pizza crust mix. It's also lower carb than grains. Which is also nice. I add seasoning, bake up a round loaf, cut it into cubes, let it dry out and use it just as you would bread. It's really good and no one even notices. |

We use Udis for sandwiches in the kids lunches. Celery is useless, right there with green peppers. I'll eat a bug before either of those. |
