I have been working or "oncall" over the last twenty years. It's nice to take a stand but it's also nice to have a paycheck every two weeks.

there used to be a time (or now if you work in europe) where you get paid on days off as a way to say "thank you" for all the hard work that you did all year.

there used to be a time (or now if you work in europe) where you get paid on days off as a way to say "thank you" for all the hard work that you did all year.

i remember working in the late 90's... workers had a voice. employers LOVED people that worked hard for them.

now its like any boss who gives a man a job is the next jesus savior of the earth, and you should not even question him under any circumstance.

That's because bosses back in the day were breaking the law by not maximizing shareholder value.
