A few hours ago, that link had me tangent-clicking all the way back to an old 1988 Sam Kinison interview, and Howard sounded exactly the same as he does right now.

Just amazing. Not one element of grit, not one sneaky polyp, nothing!

Contrast that with Al Pacino's voice on Godfather to any of his roles since 1980.


That's because he has always tinkered with the sound. Listen to him when he is on TV. He sounds totally different.
