A lot of interesting reading if you are as naive as I am about these things. Thought things have died down. It's quite disturbing when you see someone who claims to be a cousin of mine on "The List". I wonder what kind of guys post here?: http://www.gangsterbb.net/threads/ubbth ... Post678942 |

Not that I am naive that these guys dont exist. I used to own a place across the street from a "Diner" which served Eggs, toast and bacon, maybe coffee, but they had 6 Poker machines and those machines were always filled with players. Still not sure why Chicago just cant have legal machines. The $$$ would be huge. New Orleans has them in every bar. You get a ticket and collect at the bar. Same in Milwaukee! |

There's a diner in Cicero that advertises that they have Poker machines. Now that I am aware that Chicago does not offer, I understand why they advertise it now. |

I just drove by a place that obviously had been a fast food joint but now was pretty much just a room with machines in it. |

That place was owned by the Rantis family back in the day. They used to own Papa Charlie's on Taylor St too. Pete used to do some book making but would never say who he was with. |

Yeah, it was on Roosevelt now that I think of it. I drive by it every day on the way to work, not far from Hooker's Row on Fifth Ave... |
