Did anyone attend the event or was the "SOLD OUT" just based on the size of the room, 24 hours before the event? as they have moveable walls there and can make the room 200 or 500, so a SELL OUT is all relative to the size of the place? Was Butkus there? Because he was sitting at the Hawks game? Being that he lives in California, I think it is strange he would be in town and choose to not go to this event (if invited) or he might have gone said his 2 cents and left? |

he seems like kind of a recluse. were there any other old-timers there? Maybe he just came into town to meet up some of the guys and skipped out on the roast. |

Probably the best thing he ever did was move to Malibu. It's really nice but a lot of the homes look like beachside shacks. I was only there for lunch about 12 years ago. I'm sure up towards the hills is where the good homes are. |

During my freshman year, I spent way too much time in Southern cal, but visited Pepperdine a few time, might even say I 'dated' a girl there, that place is just amazing. |

Looks like the event was close to the same size as BB roast. Nice work by Matty, gotta give it to him? But was OB there? http://chicago.cbslocal.com/photo-galleries/2014/03/18/roast-of-doug-buffone/ |

I'm ashamed of myself for not popping for two tickets. It looked like a great time. I loved Doug ever since I was a kid. He was the one guy I always rooted for. |
