As the weather gets nicer the scum of the earth who lives in Mommys basement and plays Madden all day, will be out showing what big men they are with drive-bys all over the city.

Friday alone there was 10 estimated drive-bys not reported, 3 I am 100% sure of on the Southside at elementary schools.

This wouldn't happen if Obama would voluntarily pay more taxes.

only 4 fatalities out of almost 40 shot? This is why we're getting our asses kicked by plucky somali pirates and affable afghani goat herders.

This weekends totals, 36 shot 4 killed. Looks like police superintendent McCarthy is somehow blaming concealed and carry looks like.
In a statement, Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said: "While Chicago continues to see reductions in crime and violence, there's obviously much more work to be done and we continue to be challenged by lax state and federal gun laws. Through our police strategies, the City's strengthened investments in youth violence prevention, and a close partnership with residents and community leaders, no one will rest until everyone in Chicago enjoys the same sense of safety."

Im going to go out on a limb and say not one of the people who shot the 36 and killed 4 were FOID card holders and every weapon used was unregistered.

The odds of you surviving a shooting in Chicago is great. Has anyone reported that violent crimes and murders are down again this year?

Should we care if gang bangers kill one another or go to jail? I read or heard this question asked last week. How does CSFMB feel?

My sister is an asst. principal at a southside school. They have drive by shootings in the area all the time.

Had one friday.

Where is the shooter aiming? how far are they off? Are they shooting someone on school grounds? someone walking by the school? You don't know

It's close enough to hear the shots and shut down the school until they police sweep the immediate area.

This stuff never gets reported.

To answer Nas's question. Let them kill each other.

I also noticed when I went to the school, no cameras? Yet, drive around my house and there is a camera on every street corner now.

I've heard there are about 10000 cameras in Chicago now. Is that true? Where are they?

One problem is these accident murderers miss their intended target a lot. Even when a bad one dies there is another ambitious gang banger there to take his spot and do even more stupid shit. We probably should feel for the family but when I hear most of them on the news it doesn't sound like they cared to begin with.

They really care when its the police that put Lil Cobra out to pasture.

Not working or being watched on most street corners. They are fairly useless.

When you consider the cameras from banks and other businesses you have to figure that the numbers are higher. It's weird how a great deal of these murders and shootings go unsolved.

Here's a broader question. What should be done with every gang member over 16 who already has a long record ( juvy and adult when applicable) has dropped out of high school, and doesn't have a job. Force them back into getting an education? Force them into some sort of vocational training? force them into the military? What is the solution for those already pretty far behind the eight ball?

I'm usually concerned for folks that cheer for the death of another person.

Society has problems that promote gang banging. The problems are discovered very quickly when you observe the common denominators that most prisoners share.

 Im shocked, SHOCKED that McCarthy would under report stats to skew the numbers in his favor. Hell he doesn't even really admit that the weather has a direct impact on crime. Record cold winter, shootings /murders down? its our policing thats doing that. Nice weather, 40 people get shot? well, those damn state laws allowing C&C must have something to do with it.

Anywhere there is oppression the drug profession flourishes. I would force them back in school. Even if it is nothing more than an alternative school that will teach them a trade. I think MOST kids participate in criminal activities because they don't feel like they have a better option. You can look in some of their eyes and see the lights have been turned off.

Isn't that stepping on their civil liberties though? What happens if that doesn't pan out? where then?
