 Wow nary a Terry's Peep about it? We really are desensitized to these things now. Its funny though , this dude killed 3 with a knife and 3 with a gun and all the comments in the articles about it slam the NRA and "gun nut" second amendment people. No mention that he killed just as many with a knife.

If he didn't have any fingers he wouldn't have been able to kill anyone. Ban fingers!

Three people were murdered at the Jewish Museum in Brussels yesterday. We walked by the building 9 days ago.

14 year old kid shot dead the other day in my old hood. A couple blocks from where I grew up. Gang related and very common.

When i wrote that Jayden and Will Smith are good parents relative to Hollywood, I meant it.

90% of the guys I went to college with are from the LA area, many had parents in the Movie scene, some sons of doctors/lawyers, etc and it is just a different world. I don't know if it is the parents working all the time, so the kids are raised by an ATM card and "La Nanita" or what, but it's just different when it comes to reality.

That doesn't mean they all turn out to be shitheads. Some of them come out of the shithead phase, because even being a lazy drug smoking shithead becomes boring for them. (lol)

first day in college we all meet and go around the room with the 'tell us your name and something about you'

"Hi, I am robbie rose, I am from Beverly Hills California, I like to get high and play video games"

Now this guy wasnt kidding. he didnt say it to make a joke, he was serious.

And my all time Fave, J Drage, the kid was dropping out during his freshman year because "I am just feeling Blah dude" for the record, his dad was an OB in Beverly Hills, had a ton of celeb clients, guy made a ton of cash, the kid had everything he could want.

The quotes were so unreal to me, I started quoting people on the walls of my room! The shit some of these guys said was so crazy! The thought process is just different.

My thoughts on it are simple. When you grow up getting almost everything you want, very little interests you, very little entertains you or makes you happy. One thing these guys then seek is fame and this is how some shitheads go for it.

Welcome to the LA scene.

29 killed a few months back via knife in Chiner:

Quote:
KUNMING, China — Authorities blamed a slashing rampage that killed 29 people and wounded 143 at a train station in southern China on separatists from the country’s far west and vowed a harsh crackdown Sunday, while residents wondered why their laid-back city was targeted.

I'm thinking I got a couple dozen kills in a game of Goldeneye, but that's only if the conditions for it are perfect...

If he didn't have any fingers he wouldn't have been able to kill anyone. Ban fingers!

Without taking a position on this story, it's a fallacy to equate murders via guns to murders via other instruments not explicitly intended to kill or incapacitate. A gun irrespective of how it's used is manufactured to kill or maim, so the talk about ban this or what when it comes to guns is all the more reasonable by virtue of the function of the gun itself (i.e. the premise is more or less banning or reducing the proliferation of lethal weaponry will reduce murders and violence committed by the use of said lethal weaponry).

By 'reasonable' I don't mean it should be become policy or something, I just mean it gets a seat at the table of logic, which means it should by the merit of its logic be considered or entertained in a policy debate, while banning knives or fingers (I know it was said in jest) wouldn't make it past the door. Also to be clear I say this as someone opposed to an outright ban on guns (as if that would ever happen anyway).

I don't find the discussion of banning guns logical or reasonable. I don't think it should "get a seat at the table".

That's fine, I just don't think it's as silly as folks think it is when they counter with things like "a hammer fell off a building and killed a bystander below, so should we ban hammers and gravity?"

Of course it's silly. And I'm a guy who doesn't want to "ban" guns.

I don't own a gun but the premise that all guns are manufactured to kill or maim is demonstrably false.

I do agree that equating hammers and fingers and knives is illogical and silly at best.
