A friend of mine was telling me something that happened over the weekend. Went to a sporting goods store and purchased several items. When they got home determined that the clerk had failed to charge them for a $75 pair of shoes. They debated about whether they should go back and pay for it. What would you do? |

I'd probably go back. And pick up 6 more pairs! That's a steal! |

Nothing. Anytime you can stick it to the man you do it. |

I have a horribly guilty conscience, so I would return it. |

I would worry that the clerk was a single mother who would be fired, pledge to go back, drive the shoes around in my car for 3 weeks, and then do nothing. |

I would tell a friend of mine and have him post the question on a message board. I'd keep them & consider it my lucky day! I'm even-steven...it all works out! |

I would register "sporting goods store clerk" as a username at the CSFMB then taunt you about it all the time. |

If the store can't do their jobs, its not my place to help them. Their loss. Too bad. |

I'd go back when I had a chance. |

Wear the shoes for a week and then return them for store credit. |

They decided to not go back because they thought the girl would get in trouble for letting it slip. I said I would go back because if I took free shoes I am sure something bad would happen to me in those shoes and I would end up being out more than $75 |

This is a tough one. I can honestly say there have been points in my life where I would go back immediately and other times where I wouldn't say a word. Right now, I'd probably just stand pat and be happy with my good fortune... |

I delivered a pizza saturday. I said 31.59. The guy replied "39 right? here ya go" and handed me 42 dollars and shut the door. I knocked and explained the difference. He took back 2 dollars. Still a real good tip. |

Eh, possibly. But still, and I say this as a former pizza delivery guy, an $8 tip on a $31/32 dollar order is pretty damn good. |

True, but what kind of petty asswipe takes back 2 dollars? Does he not want to appear like some decadent Roman emperor by not just leaving it at around? If he really needs that 2 bucks, what the hell is he doing spending forty on a pizza? Be a pal and hope that that karma gives you a slight nod in the future or something like that ... the guy made the mistake in haste, RPB was a man and wanted to make sure the guy was informed, and as a token of thanks for the extra effort he took back a couple bucks. I hope they put so much cheese on his pizza that the guy doesn't shit this week, frankly. |

If he would have made me break the 20 to give him change, THAT would have been dickish. And there are absolutely people who would have done that |

I'd like to think I would take back the shoes, but I'm almost certain I would just keep the shoes, as shitty as that may be. |
