Sick of Bash, cages are a few feet short and it's great that they tell me a 56 ft pitch at 84 is = to a 90 MPH or whatever the calc is, but Need an new place.

Used to head over to the Park on Western, but of course the Park District doesnt have the money to fix that machine, they just have money for everything else.

Bunny Hutch sucks. Keep it!

Anything else? I know I can Yelp it, but want to hit outside, on a machine that works, not like going to Sluggers and dont want shitty reviews.

At least if he tries to bean you, you'll have 3 chances to get out of the way before he succeeds.

I take my kids to either Eich's or GoPro in Plainfield.

Does that help?

Don't know of many. The two I used to frequent closed a while back, one of them over by the racetrack in Maywood.

How about the Bulls and Sox Academy?

I went to a batting cage with boyd in your area last summer. It's in that industrial area near pingree? Something like that. We went to bww after and it was like 10 minutes away.

Get some of the Sox relievers to throw BP to you. A few of them need all the help they can get.

If you are willing to go as far as Bunny Hutch, then Niles Park District isn't much farther. SE corner of Touhy and Harlem. 15 pitches for $1 is a pretty good deal. It is part of a big complex of fields and miniature golf.

Stop at Nick's Gyros half a block north for one of the few home made gyros in the city.

Dunno, haven't checked it out.

The last time I was in a batting cage, it was the Louisville Slugger factory and it was so embarrassing that I haven't gone near a bat since.

Go down to Home Depot, pick up a couple day-laborers. One to pitch, another to shag fouls.

Get there early, tho, so you get a first-rounder:

... dude... weekend baseball is back on for me and my friends! Never thought about this. We can fill those required 4-5 spots that we can never get to field two full teams. Genius!

Teenager from south of the border coyotes into the USA and makes his way to Chicago.

Every morning, he queues up for day-labor at the North and Elston Home Depot.

One weekend, he's selected by a fresh-out-of-college intern in the Cubs front-office to fill out the roster on a pick up baseball team.

Turns out, the kid has a lightning bolt for an arm...
