Chop wood to create fire?

I usually just raise the thermostat a few degrees.

For the man who has everything, except modern heating, and/or roads where people will bring you wood.

Well you know, Panther is a man's man. He's probably trimming his beard right now as I type. Bet he's also shaving, too.

"Merry Christmas, Uncle Eamonn! Here's a new hipster axe I bought for you from Hammacher Schlemmer!"

Assuming you're not a fool, a 7 lb maul axe is quite well suited to the job and isn't... weird.

Panther Pisla is a first class person in my mind. And I will tell you why.

Nobody else would make an entire thread about something as completely boring and useless as an axe. I mean, I have never known one single person, except a fireman, who needed an axe. Does that bother Panther? No. He will not only make the thread, he will make the title in all upper case letters, in order to try to stir up excitement, like if the axe was magic and could cure cancer. When you get to the end, however, you realize it is not a magic axe, just a simple axe that chops firewood. Which you actually can buy at some local stores, and not have to do the work.

I guarantee you, if you get your wife this axe for Christmas, you will not hear the end of it. You better rally big time on that fake Valentines Day "holiday."

There are three guys I work with who chop wood to help heat their homes...it's actually not too uncommon in these parts...having helped one of them chop wood one time, I for one find this pretty cool.

I hope you all remember this 6 months from now. I can't wait for the St. Patricks Day suggestions next October!

Was in a place Saturday in Chicago and the guy uses a wood burner to heat his place. Of course his place is close to a garage as he works and lives out of his place, he has a woodshed/bin.

One framing job has enough scrap wood to last him for 2 months he claims. Kinda cool, but I am ok with my GFA
