You of course have the statistics to back that up. Don't blame the people for destroying peoples businesses who had nothing to do with it? The people doing the looting could give 2 fucks about who got shot. Just gives them an excuse to take shit and act like uncivilized animals. I also love the all too common narrative. If its 2 cops that support the story of what happened, well then they are just covering each others asses. If its a an eyewitness who is in support of the victim, well his account is the unassailable truth.

Just recently in NY some cop was cleared of any wrong doing when he attempted to arrest a woman for breastfeeding her baby at a bus stop. The woman ignored him and attempted to board the bus. The cop grabbed her causing her to drop the baby on its head killing it. The cop still took the mother into custody.
I dont agree with rioting/looting peoples businesses but something jas to be done where police have to seriously consider the possible consiquenses of their actions. The law has to start making them accountable when they act wrecklessly

When I was in Ireland I didn't even realize the cops didn't carry guns.

Our cab driver mentioned it and said that it also leads to a lot of problems but I honestly didn't feel less safe without an armed police force. It sounds like there is an on call armed police force that doesn't actively enforce day to day laws for issues that require guns.

I wonder if that would cut down on incidents like this or if it would result in more dead police officers?

Good luck trying to find police officers to patrol Englewood unarmed ( but rogue, they don't patrol there anyway )
