I tried the pay it forward thing twice at Starbucks. The first time was fine, the second time the person behind me had ordered like 5 drinks. The cashier at the window gave me the chance to back out but I already committed to it and didnt want to look like an asshole. I probably wont do it again unless the person in front of me does.

What about the fact that 378 people ordered basically the exact same thing? That's what is crazy. Right?

I mean, not one person had to spend more or the person behind them than what they planned to spend on themselves. Just a bunch of jerks, right?

I do it for serverice people in uniform . One time the waitress asked me if I knew them ,said nope. She went over and told them they came and tanked me. I replied it was me who was doing the thanking. I make it a habit to approach anyone in military uniform and thank them for serice or a vet if they are wearing a device showing they are one.
