That was quite an INTERVIEW!

They are really in full spin control in the NFL offices.

Didn't see it.

Did I miss anything? I'm thinking not.

Nope, not even sure why they did it. Ratings?

I'll go with the theory the NFL didn't "see it," but specifically had some other people watch and tell them what was in it so they can say they never saw it.

I think I might be the only person who can say they didnt see it. I never wanted to. I heard enough about it, just dont need to and dont care to.

Maybe Rog can hire me quickly to take the fall!

Worst commissioner in sports with the exception of Bettman.

I have never seen any of the videos. It doesn't take a genius to have an idea what a guy knocking out a woman looks like.

But yes, of course he is lying.

Weirdest interview ever. She didn't push him much. And he offered no specifics - very legal in nature.

Liar.

Its the lie to cover up the lie to cover up the mistake.

the FRONTLINE concussion documentary pretty much outlines the NFL's entire history of coverups and lying. It's a thug league, dont expect anything more.

They're going to use the "mistake" as an admission of truth... but it is not. It is only the lesser of two evils.

that's the way carmen put it on c&j today and i agree 100% that's what happened. "you want rice in the league?" "yeah." "then don't watch the video".

Funny thing is if this was a different guy or subject Bernsie would be all hard about how skilled this commish was at that. And also that he was coached/prepped by really smart people.

That's what I see it as... I'm pretty sure they tried to turn a semi-blind eye to it and never really first-hand watched the video until yesterday.

Post subject:  Re: IS ROGER G. TELLING TRUTH?

The NFL is saying that law enforcement would not give a 3rd party access to the video, which is BS. Rice's attorneys have had the video the whole time as part of the discovery process with the prosecution. Period. Even if the NFL was denied by law enforcement (again, BS, how did TMZ get it?), all Goodell had to tell Rice was that he was being suspended for a year or more unless Rice agreed to give them the video...which he claimed would show the "extenuating circumstances."

RG: Hello is this the main desk?
OPERATOR: Yes, how may I help you?
RG: My name is Roger and someone I know just got into a little fight in the elevator and I was wondering if I can get that tape from the camera in the elevator?
OP: No sir.
RG: OK, thanks

RG to his Lawyers:

OK, you saw it I tried! What's next on the agenda? How is that getting more kids to play Fantasy football thing working out and why do we still let everyone else use our stats for free????

Post subject:  Re: IS ROGER G. TELLING TRUTH?

Maybe I've missed it, but given Ray Rice's short stature and aggressive running style, why isn't there more discussion of Rice's misbehaviour possibly being due to concussive/sub-concussive hits.

http://www.ironneck.net/concussive-blow ... dangerous/

I wonder if Barry Sanders, another shorter running back, sudden retirement back in the day was motivated by similar concerns.

Post subject:  Re: IS ROGER G. TELLING TRUTH?

TMZ probably got the tape because the hotel just went out of business and some disgruntled employee said fuck it, sure I can get you guys the tape.

Post subject:  Re: IS ROGER G. TELLING TRUTH?

Rice's lawyers may not have had the tape yet if Rice was put in the diversion program during a first hearing happening before pre trial discovery. Even if they did I am certain discovery would happen after the diversion. At that point why in the world would Rice's lawyer give the NFL the tape? That would be not working for his client in all aspects. Bernsie is such a goof when he tries to sound so smart/certain of things.
