As the years go on, the number of people who question the government's version of events/ say it was an inside job is seemingly rising |

People slowly start to convince themselves even if no new evidence comes out. The same stuff happens with the vaccination people and the Holocaust deniers. It goes from "That doesn't make sense" to "Well, maybe" to "I could see it" and then they've reached the point where you have to prove a negative and then the battle has been lost.Go look at the stupid chemtrails stuff to see this happening. |

I wouldn't lump the Holocaust deniers with people who believe America may have been responsible for the 9/11 "attacks". |

I actually think there's fewer 9/11 truthers right now than say, the year following the attacks. Other than a silly "documentary" on Netflix I haven't seen much from truthers in a long time. |

The is literally no way that you can deny it happened. |

so hey in the spirit of being the #1 thread derailer/killer on the board, i gotta ask you guys.... where were you when you found out about 9/11? how did your day turn out? mine had two things about it that are noteworthy: 1) i was attending UIC at the time and i can remember sitting in the computer lab seeing the sears tower out of the window in the computer lab, so i decided that attending classes that day wasn't gonna happen (cuz if there wasn't another terror attack on the sears tower i figured it'd be right proper crazy down there) and of course i found out that basically everyone in lecture sat there and watched TV news on a projection screen so it wasn't like class was really going on that day. 2) in the afternoon i ended up hanging out with my friend paul, and we were picking up our friend colleen in des plaines when she pulled that oh-so-female thing where she has to "get ready" so we were sitting outside of her house in my car out on the street. i was fidgeting with the radio to kill the time and paul was cleaning out something with his paintball gun (mainly the paintball holder that looked like a giant bean or kidney or something) when out of the blue we hear "DON'T YOU MOTHERFUCKERS MOVE AN INCH!!!! HANDS UP ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND DASHBOARD SLOWLY NO SUDDEN MOVEMENTS!!!!!" and at that point i look into the side-rearview mirror and see a plainclothes guy with a gun drawn mere inches from my temple (paul had the same thing on his side of the car) so we followed instructions and were made to get out of the car while the one cop told us that they had gotten a report that we were sitting there "brandishing weapons" so where the fuck are the weapons? paul was like "are you serious? look i have a disassembled paintball gun here and i was cleaning out the holder while we wait for this chick colleen" and the cops were like "OHHHHHHH.... well aha, you guys know what's going on today right?" * we nod * "...and yeah with that going on you can never be too careful... who knows what can happen today?" so i ended up falling for their "the dog is coming" bait and giving them the little weed one hitter i had when we got the obligatory "do you have anything in there that we shouldn't know about? the dog will be here in 5 minutes" (cuz i wasnt about to get cops pissed off at me on 9/11 proper) and after they took it and broke it and went off to go save des plaines from further instances of imminent terrorism, we noticed that colleen's little old ~80something year old neighbor lady was peering out the window at the situation and then quickly darted behind the curtains when we noticed her. indeed, she had evidently saw us out there and decided OMFG THE TERRORISTS HAVE COME TO KILL ME!!!!!!!! and decided to call up the cops about us, cuz obviously when there's an attack on the USA the terrorists 4th/5th highest priority is getting ethel in des plaines IL after they take out the world trade centers and pentagons. she clearly knows too much. and yeah from there we had an uneventful day where no less than ~20ppl came up to us with that morbid glee usually reserved for celebrity death to ask us if we had "heard the news." --- -everyone wants to be the harbinger of bad news on a day like that because it actually gives them something interesting to talk about. |

God Bless all the families who lost loved ones and have to relive that all today. I thought this was pretty cool at what they did at my sons school this morning: Today is September 11, 2014 and thirteen years ago, our country was attacked by terrorists. On that tragic day, 2,993 confirmed victims, from 84 different countries, died in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. The youngest victim was 2, the oldest was 85. 3,251 children lost a parent on that day, a seemingly normal day that then led to innocent victims of violence, who were going to work, at work, traveling to see family and friends, going on vacation, and some who were also trying to protect and save lives. Do you remember where you were or what you were doing when this first was reported? Most Americans do. Let us never forget the events of September 11th, 2001…for those who died that day, for those who have died fighting for America’s freedoms during our history, and for those who continue to fight for and defend the freedoms we enjoy every day. Please stand for a special commemoration: -Flight 11 was the first plane and it hit the North Tower at 7:46:40 AM, Central Standard Time. -Flight 175 struck the South Tower at 8:03:11 -Flight 77 struck the Pentagon at 8:37:46 and -Flight 93 crashed at 9:03:11 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, downed by brave Americans who were modern day Patriots. Please remain standing for the playing of TAPS. |

Whether you believe we ignored intelligence or you believe we planned the attack the fact is we were responsible. It's reality. We knew what the plans were and knew many of the people involved. All we needed was the exact date. Our negligence and incompetence led to the deaths of many people. The greatest nation in the history of the world is responsible when preschoolers attack our country. If they can do it that easily then China or Russia can easily wipe us out. |

We'll just disagree. However, that has nothing to do with the 9/11 truthers. 9/11 truthers think we had an active role. Saying the government should have stopped it is a different discussion all together. The government admits they had intelligence that was ignored. |

When you and Mrs BRick have a child there is no way they will be able to kick your ass at 3. If someone saw them do it they would believe you allowed it to happen. This is why some question the events of 9/11. It makes more sense to some to believe we allowed it to happen than to think we got the shit kicked out of us by a 3 year old. |
