I see Paul George apologized for his tweets about domestic violence....

wouldn't you say apologies are "real" or heartfelt maybe what, 5% of the time? even in real life. now yeah i understand in the sports/entertainment world its just PR, but who in their right mind NOW thinks that Paul George suddenly realizes the error of his ways . i guess i just think it's funny how stupid and worthless they are, yet it seems to be the rule that anyone that says something remotely controversial will be issuing an apology for it the next day

All right, George, all right. I'm sorry. I'm very, very sorry. I'm so sorry that I didn't want your rather bulbous head struggling to find its way through the normal-size neck hole of my finely knit sweater.

Remember the Popeye movie? Wasn't the running gag that Popeye's dad (or uncle maybe) kept telling everyone thy owed him an apology?

I could get behind that

Despite my username, I'm not big on them.

You feel the need to come back, and express your regret over some transgression? How about just not doing that behavior in the future?

that's ultimately what an apology is. "i'm sorry" isn't an apology. never doing again what you said you were sorry for is.
