I just got this call. Guy trying to impersonate a DEA officer claiming I bought Ambien from a Dominican Online Pharmacy, that they just busted and had my CC#. (Never taken Ambien...kinda scared too!) he then claims he has my signature on file as accepting the package in .............2007! Now, I know it's scam, but lets play it out.......so i ask what I need to do? My options are to let the warrant be issued for my arrest or pay the fine of $1000!...I ask if he takes cash, because I only have cash. He then tells me I can wire the money....he will give me a routing number. I say OK....and he gives me info of a bank in the Caribbean....because thats where all the US Government banking is done......I laugh....he realizes the scam is up and tells me "This is not a laughing matter ...and an arrest warrant will be issued for me"..and hangs up. http://www.myfoxla.com/story/22257875/fake-dea-agent-scam-targets-fox-11-reporter-and-family |

It's like many things in law enforcement. They cant do it because it's too much work, until it becomes serious, then all rules are off the table. |
