So he is going to walk across the river, from 1000 Ft high, blind folded and no safety net??????????? Whats the payoff here? We get to see a guy die???? Arent we just a step away from Pay per View executions? or is Nick going to have some safety harness? And is North going to announce it? lol |

Downtown Friday evening in a high rise at sunset. Yes, there were wind alerts but the Sunday forecast predicts winds 10-20 mph. Dude is either going to cancel or die. Saw a video clip of him training in Florida, in the sunshine, in the warmth, no wind. This is Chicago--the windy city--at sundown with wind and with temperatures dropping into the 40s. Its a win/win for Chicago events and tourism. See the buildings, see the architecture, pull it up the event (death) on youtube with your phone. |

No worries. Brandon Marshall, Anti Raanta, Alshon Jeffery, Corey Crawford and Martellus Bennett will all be down below in case the worst happens.  I read some where that he was training with high fans and people shaking the wire.  I'm still in but admittedly, this really is sounding worse and worse by the day. |

This is going to be totally "Chicagoized"... Rahm will make a bet with Wallenda's home town mayor. Hot Dogs, Cheesecake, Italian Beef, etc. Tailgating will start at 3:00 pm on nearby closed streets. Guys selling T-Shirts that say snappy stuff like "Chicago Killed Wallenda", "Wallenda Mows My Lawn", "Wallenda Made A Big Splash In Chicago", etc. The introduction video montage will include Wallenda looking down at the rope saying "Bear Down!". Then it cuts to Wallenda Saying "My Goal? To read Monday morning's Trib." Jim Cornelison & Wayne Messmer sing the anthem Murph and his trumpet blare the starting gate song from Arlington Park. Wallenda eats Malnati's deep dish after removing the blindfold. (Gotta have a sponsor!) When Wallenda is almost finished, Bill Murray & Eddie Vedder will sing "Take Me Out To The High Wire". Somebody on the broadcast crew will have to tell us how to pronounce Wallenda backwards. The Luvabulls and The Bud Light Ice Crew girls will be performing on roof tops. Southpaw, Clark the Cub (with pants), Staley The Bear, Tommy Hawk and Benny The Bull will all be on the street below to block the view and thwart the attention of kids in case the worse happens. If the worse does indeed happen, be ready to sing; "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye..." When Wallenda finishes successfully, everybody will break out in a rousing chorus of "Chelsea Dagger" with fireworks blasting. Jim Belushi rushes to Wallenda and gives him a big hug. Doug & OB will be on for 2 hours immediately following the event. |
