I've never paid to have a garbanzo bean on my face. Happy Friday! |

Free joke tips: even a grammar nazi would, for the sake of a joke, eschew the otherwise correct use of the first instance of the indefinite article "a" in this case ... also, it would be better to use 'on' than 'in'. |

I believe the correct spelling is garbanzo. |

You sure about that? I don't see any "a" where there's not supposed to be. |

They are just jealous of my joke-telling ability, SomeGuy. This Friday thread just wasn't meant to be. |

You sure about that? I don't see any "a" where there's not supposed to be. -le sigh- First of all, it wasn't an actual criticism, just shitting on the joke a pal put on the board. Second, and it would be better served in a verbal telling of the joke, since he's utilising a homonym joke of peeing on his face via the food 'chick pea', it's like he's saying "What's the difference between chick pee and a garbonzo bean?" ... as you can see it "flows" much nicer if one presumes "pee" rather than the otherwise expected "pea". Third, on the bright side, it was only meant to slightly aggravate one person, but seems to have successfully got in the craw of a few more, so I guess I should be happier with that. Next week, we'll discuss why it's funnier to say you'll rape a girl with a Michelob bottle rather than saying a Labatts Blue, even in Canada. |
