Okay, this is going to sound overly controlling and I have no current concerns other than I have a thing with privacy when it comes to my kid. My kid's school is posting pictures publicly on Twitter and Facebook. I am not as worried right now because she is nine, but I've noticed they also post kids as they get older. I've never given my permission for them to post these pictures. I feel a little more comfortable with something like Facebook where its less public. Putting it out to the Twitter-verse on a completely public account means it will be everywhere. Am I being too overprotective? Should I reach out to the school? Thoughts? |

I'm with you on this. I would not be happy if my kids school was posting pictures of my kid. I'm surprised a school would even consider doing this given the likely backlash. |

There should be a control option that only lets people that are following the teacher see the posts. That's how ours is set up. |

Nas wrote: good dolphin wrote: most schools have a require permission for images to be used This I'm assuming that permission was given somehow at the start of the school year. Maybe a signature somewhere and the online picture permission was included. In addition, names are not usually included with the pictures. |

You can also contact the office and tell them you want to withdraw permission. It's not a big deal. They won't think you're a weirdo. Because of that I mean. They won't think you;re a weirdo because of that. |
