sure, just like they didnt forgive the toxic mortgages. and your debt is only to the tune of 1 trillion... dont worry, we taxpayers can absorb that.

Quote:
College costs continue to rise, but one segment might not be very worried: 24 percent of millennials said they expect their loans will ultimately be forgiven, according to study released Wednesday by Junior Achievement and PwC US.

ill take my restitutions when they legalize weed. jailed 3 times and fined over $3k for it. not to mention the lost jobs because of my record before i was able to expunge it all. i equate that to about a $125k check. I have been eyeing that new F150, i might just get it!

Me too. Though I did just recently get a check in the mail for $6.50 from Well Fargo for some sort of overpayment. Seems fair enough. I give them ~$55,000 and they send me 6 bucks. And I didn't even get my degree!

Here is the reason they won't ever be forgiven. It would be grossly unfair to those who did the right thing and paid them back or made better decisions on how much to take out or where to go.

just a matter of time for the Big D party to pick it up as a major taking point for a Presidential election.

"vote for us and we will pay your student loans from 10 years ago!"

Hmmm...sounds like

'Vote for Susie Pearl and I will make recess 5 minutes longer, chocolate milk will be 5 cents less and every friday will be dress up day"

Student loan debt reduction will become an election issue with in the next few years. It is a crime how much schools are able to charge because the loan money is handed out freely. I asked for a 1800 dollar loan for a semester a few years back and was able to take out up to 13k if I wanted to.

If one party feels they can win elections by forgiving student loans they will.

prolly be forgiven, since the students won't actually have the cash, you can't make them pay anyway. Can't let the Banks take the hit. Uncle Sam will have to pay.

They won't though. It's going to be hard to convince anyone over the age of 40 that loan forgiveness is a good idea since they likely have either paid them off already, never took them, or just think it would be unfair to give "free money" to people.

I think it would be okay to give them free money as long as they can pass a drug test.

If the government is going to forgive student loans why shouldn't they also forgive mortgage, car, and credit card debt?

One thing is for sure, you should absolutely be able to consolidate and/or refinance student loans. If you can do so with a mortgage or a car, you should be able to for student loans as well.

Do you need a map to find your dick, or are you able to remember where it is the two times a year you use it?

A lot of those people will have kids or grandchildren that are in college or that went to college. They will see the benefit in not having over $100k in debt.
