i just noticed my neighbor is on the sex offender list. i looked up state laws, and apparently he is classified as 'forcing a sexual act onto a child', which means 12 years old or younger. this was back in 1998 (he would have been 29) and of course i had no idea until i saw his face on the map. he has been over a few times, great guy, even worked on an engine together. he doesnt drink or smoke but it might be because of his probation now i think of it. now i would have known what to do if say it was a 16 year old he played with.... but '12 and younger'? the guy was 29... what would you guys do at this point? the law doesnt really provide room for forgiveness (i think hes on an ankle bracelet after 16 years) and he will never come off the online lists... so society has given up on him. i dont really care one way or the other, part of me says fuck this creep but the other part says the real story might not be so bad. i do know the law dramatically over reaches on many sexual cases. i had a friend around 22 who ate a 17 year old out, but she begged him to. i know she did because she was tryin to get with me at the same time. she knew what she was doing, everyone was cool with everyone. but her parents found out about him (they knew about me), and they freaked out because they knew his parents or some shit. they called the cops and he went on the sex offender list for life. his just says 'sexual assult of a minor' which meant like 16-17. my neighbors is at most 12 and odds are younger which is scary |

What would I do? gotta go with the big lebowski and say "eight year olds dude, eight year olds" and go on with my life. What is there really to "do" ??? The dude got burned going after a kid, and you live next door to him. Remember this ike: what do you about your other neighbors' sex lives? They could be into scat and snuff for all you know.They could be bigger pedophiles and just never got caught. I never ask ppl about Shit like that cuz I don't wanna know... I know a guy who got pinched on a bullshit charge (later recanted) by a nasty bitch of a neighbor that didn't like him for a barking dog and thought the best way to get rid of him and his dog was to put him in jail saying she caught him with her daughter. The daughter always denied anything happened. After spending a few months in jail the woman admitted she made up the charge. He is still listed on the registry. |
