Its a shitty life for the most part. Not for the 2% that make it big, but the rest of them travelling every weekend, all year...and to get to that level of headliner at a local comedy club takes years of doing shows for $100.

Long time ago, took a Class...Be Funny, Make funny....taught by Dobie Maxwell at Zanies for a weekend. That guy is a lifer in the business and he tells you the down side to most of it.

great story from Dobie "So this one guy who I knew on tour asked me about his new bit, wanted to know if he could do 2 mins of it for me.....I say sure.....the guy finishes and I told him I dont think it will be a hit and he should limit it to just part of his act with only a few jokes...." The bit was "You know you're a redneck when......" OOps
