Mayor Rahm passes through that intersection on the regular-his convoy often scoring red light violations there. When he first moved back to Chicago and lived in our west loop building in 2011, he immediately had Green street from 290 to Kinzie resurfaced and re-did/ screwed up Kinzie by taking away a traffic lane to put in the first of those annoying protected bike lanes. Rahm biked every morning to his gym over on Kinzie and the river to train for some old dude triathlon. |

Goes right next to it....might be a little win for Vienna, as I am not sure how many people are aware you can eat at the Vienna Factory...they might make it a little more of a Hot Dog Stand... The big winner could be MidTown Athletic club with the mega expansion....need that better route to increase that membership drive coming soon. |

Good. Then they can fix that Foster-Milwaukee-Central clusterfuck. How about left turn arrows for starters? |

it will probably perform marginally better than existing setup but the general public will still be bitching when there is gridlock every rush hour even after it is complete if i wanted to head north on damon fromt he kennedy I used to just get off at fullerton (next exit) head east on fullerton to get back to damon and then turn left on to Damon... because damon would be backed up from this intersection south of the kennedy and fullerton east usually wasnt that bad |

Drove through that intersection for many years. That area of Fullerton is pure hell. Fullerton is one lane between Western and the expressway. Then, the expressway overpass is too low, so trucks hit it at least once or twice a year. Along with that intersection, the clybourn, ashland and fullerton intersection has its moments. I'm not sure why people still drive it. Webster is a great alternative. |

Innit Intuit up on Milwaukee in the realtor designated 'River West'/'Goose Island' hood? This was down on Green, south of Madison, north of Ike. Some dude had leased his house up on the north side and wouldn't give it back until the lease was up; + he didn't wanna pull his kids out of Sidwell Friends until the Summer. So he sublet a bachelor loft and trained for his triathlon. |

Pretty sure he was right here: https://www.google.com/maps/@41.895674, ... e0!6m1!1e1 At least I think that's the address he used on his campaign filings in 2009. |

February 2011, right after being elected Mayor, Rahm moved into this building and lived there for about 6 months or so: http://chicago.curbed.com/archives/2011 ... ike-rahm-7 No idea about 2009. Doubt his family was living in Chicago, esp in that Milwaukee corridor, and commuting to DC to attend Sidwell Friends school? Would think the entire family was living in DC while Rahm was Obama's chief of staff from 2009-2011. I do know the wife and kids remained in DC to finish out the school year in 2011. They'd stay with him when they visited Chicago from DC while he lived the west loop loft building. |

In my defense, this was my birthday weekend; I don't ordinarily put away that much cheap hooch: viewtopic.php?f=74&t=56334 ![]() |
