I don't know that it's defending ... there's no shortage of folks in this town that would dismiss him out of hand for no intelligent reason. That said, it's nauseating that he's so often the focus of a conversation. Lebron's great ... terrific, I don't fucking care more than a half-dozen times a year at most. I happen to think he's an insufferable asswipe regardless of talent level, and I doubt I'm alone in that. If this station is about local sports first, then shut the fuck up about Lebron. 10 years ago if ESPN had turned into Lebron 24/7 they would've been rightly lampooned as the LBJ ALS. Now it's just the thinking fan's station ... as in here's what you're supposed to be thinking. M'eh ... it's still the better station far and away, which is depressing. |

Because the NBA finals just concluded is my guess as to why there is so much Lebron talk; that and the fact that it is too soon for Bears talk. |
