Anyone else having sinus issues or a "summer cold" this year?

I don't really have allergies to pollen, ragweed, etc., so I don't think it's that, but since last Thursday I've had a sore throat, sinus congestion, and have been coughing up a little phlegm/mucus. The pseudoephedrine I usually take hasn't been helping so I think I'm going to go see the doctor. Cold-Eeze lozenges helped my sore throat quite a bit, though.

My allergies have been just awful this summer, worse than I ever remember.

I can't take it and function the next day. It keeps me way to groggy.

Fuck function!

I have a job Jimmy, it is kind of important to have the ability to function while I am here. Also to be able to post here.

So the choice at work is between drowsy and runny nose, itchy watery eyes and sinus drainage. I'll take drowsy.

or we can go this route:

I never had allergies or sinus issues until I moved to Wisconsin 19 years ago, I am not sure if I should blame Obama or Walker.

Comment:
Side effect - sexual dysfunction. I was surprised that this wasn't listed as a side effect for Allegra, since it's common knowledge among doctors that antihistamines cause sexual dysfunction in men. After I stop taking it for a few days, the problem disappears.

Really ?!?

Even if so, there's a quick resistance built up to said groggy effects (like a couple-three days at the very most).

Claritin D, or the 12-hour blue Pseduoephedrine stuff aren't bad options either.

Any antihistamine does it to me, always had. It sucks!
