Jarrett Payton, the sportscaster son of the late Chicago Bears legend Walter Payton, is adding nightly television duties to his work with Tribune Media.

Starting in early June, Payton will join the sports department of WGN-Channel 9 and host a live sports talk show Sundays through Thursdays on cable channel CLTV. He’ll continue as host of “The Beat,” the weekend sports talk show on news/talk WGN AM 720.

I like that his family can earn here, his dad was the greatest back of all time and died young...the one daughter is cute and talented on that food show.

It is a pretty good show. Jarrett is charismatic as well.

During an interview today he told the story of after the Titans released him his agent called said and the Packers wanted him in a for a workout.
He told his agent no because " I could never see the name Payton on the back of that green jersey, I just couldn't do it."

I just produced a halting, exasperated sigh through my perpetually flared nostrils that was just loud enough for the audience to hear. Some might call it a huffle.

Good to see he has his head on straight. I'm now a fan for life.

Met both kids at a Bears game a few years ago. Brittany was doing something for her show and Jarrett was there supporting her. We talked to him for a good 20 mins. He seemed like such a good guy which was refreshing to see.
