As I am sure our Great Commander and Pres will have a statement remembering the 9 officers that have been shot in the last 17 days, gotta have labor to support the nation.

Great graphic. Hard not to notice the Printer's Union Bug in the lower right hand corner. We all know how Republicans love and support unions.

I only did a small amount of labor on Labor Dar.
I labored my butt off on Labor Day Eve though.

I was in labor once. I would not do it again and would not recommend it.

That chart measures the number of people 16 and up who are working. Baby boomers have reached retirement age, and people live longer now than they did thirty years ago, hence the decline in the labor force participation rate.

Here is what it looks like, if you go back a little farther, instead of cherry picking a starting point after a huge increase in the labor force.

Thanks, Obama.

For those of you that (a) Had yesterday off (b) had it off with pay or ( c ) had to work but made double time and a half for working, unions everywhere accept your thanks. Unless you think that Carnegie or Vanderbilt would've come up with the concept of holidays off or overtime pay on their own.

What do you think Carnegie and Vanderbilt would think about the current minimum wage?
