Post subject: | big-n-tall men's stores |
recently i've been disheartened to find out that both marshall's and tj maxx basically stopped carrying pants/shorts/etc that go over a size 38/40 waist, which is a blow to me and my little autistic paradise because over the years i've made some killings scooping up $15 navy blue adidas trackpants and wiggershorts (think john cena here) and of course plenty of nondescript dress slacks/pants and occasionally even a few pairs of jeans whenever they come up on loot in the marshall's big-n-tall men's section. RIP indeed. so now i'm left with a problem where i have no idea where i can go and find that marshall's-big-n-tall-section type situation in the chicagoland area. does anyone know any solid places where i can find that decent selection of 42"+ slacks/jeans/jorts/adidas-pants/etc that might not necessarily be on the discount like marshalls, but still isn't massively overpriced or anything? it'd really be much appreciated cuz while i have a pretty good repetoire of stuff usually around the end of the summer i get out there and load up with a few more pairs of stuff, and when i went to the 2nd marshalls and was like "wtf? where is the big-n-tall section?" that's when i asked and found out that marshalls got out of the business of servicing "husky" manchildren like myself and it was like "fuckin ell m8 do i have to go all the way up to kenosha to get that kind of hookup now? arrrrghhh" so yeah any recommendations would be hugely appreciated and reciprocated with a few rounds @ a game/board-meetup/etc someday. merci beaucoup. |

When Value City Clothing closed,I went into a period of mourning. Not only did they have fat guy clothes, they had cheap basketball and football jerseys, cheap shoes, etc. Great store. My wife found some nice dress shirts for me at Kohl's recently. Good luck! |

Yes, give it a try. I don't know about prices and all, but I know they have the sizes. |

JCPenney normally has the biggest selection. I've had some good finds at Eddie Bauer recently though, and the clothes don't feel like they will fall apart after 10 wearings. |

Maybe it was the two options given or deciding whether or not this was legit advice or a shot taken. I guess I've never thought of Wal-Mart and Eastbay at the same time, but now that I have, I can't stop laughing. Thanks Don! |

Hi there. Are you a large person? Pleasantly plump? A little on the hefty side, perhaps? Well, let's face it. Are you fat? When you go jogging, do you leave potholes? When you make love, do you have to give directions? At the zoo, do elephants throw you peanuts? Do you look at a menu and say, "OK"? Well, now you can eat all you want...because at Thornton Melon's Tall and Fat stores...we've got you covered. That's right...fine woolen and woolen blend suits...and sport coats in all the larger sizes...husky, stout, extra-stout and the new Hindenburg line. And for you ladies, we have caftans, muumuus...and our own exclusive A-frame in all colors and patterns. Yes, we have miles and miles of fabric. So take it from me, Thornton Melon...if you want to look thin, you hang out with fat people. Thornton Melon's Tall and Fat...locations across America. |
