Have no idea how many have been shot but in the last 2-3 weeks there has been a daily shooting on the expressways in the Phoenix area. Today, they think there was 3, still doing the investigations.

I think we had the problem here as well...maybe it was just 1 time....not sure if they ever caught anyone, but its time to have cameras everywhere.

If we are going to allow guns everywhere, thinking going to need cameras everywhere.

Considering they already have tons of cameras on the expressways to monitor actual traffic, gonna need a few more to look for guys that shoot cars.

And going to say if it gets more national attention...look for the copycats.

A couple years back, my buddy was pissing and moaning after getting a ticket in the mail. He swore up and down that he didn't roll through the red light. On the ticket, there was a link to a website, where you could see the video, and he rolled right through it.

I have a rock that keeps ravenous grizzly bears away. I carry this rock with me every day and I haven't been attacked yet. Would you like to buy my rock?

I'm fine with not turning the country further into a police state because of 1 person. They will eventually catch this guy, and things will go back to normal. Your solution is a complete over-reaction which is standard for most of the "security" problems in this country.

They already have multiple cameras on almost every major expressway in the US and I dont care about red light cameras, good or bad.

But if more high def/res cameras can help resolve life or death issues, I am all for them.

NBC said that police think it's more than one person.
And "they will eventually catch" whoever did it....isn't really a solution.

Neither is creating a 1984 police state.

Except it actually is a possible solution. Maybe it makes it better, maybe it doesn't, can't make it worse.
I also think you may be using hyperbole.

Bigfan wants cameras everywhere. I think my reaction is perfectly fine to something that preposterous.

I think a dozen+ random cars getting shot on one stretch of interstate in a week is also pretty preposterous. Don't you?

These aren't cars of people involved in a crime or even a minor conflict. It's just....commuters. Just people driving. That's not ok.
That should probably not be allowed to continue until "eventually" they are caught.

Something has to change, probably by an increase.
More cops?
More cameras?
More rules?

So you're ok with cameras in every room in your house that are monitored by your local police? Bigfan said cameras everywhere. We need to keep everyone safe at all times. If you're not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.
