The problem is, if you have that cash to afford that kind of house, why wouldnt you buy a house in Winnetka on Sheridan road with a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, with a tram to your private beach so your kids can have a place to smoke pot and have sex in HS? ![]() |

Not sure if I'd go Winnetka or Wilmette. Maybe Glencoe...or Kenilworth. |

The property taxes have to be over 200k a year. I would rather have 10k acres and a 2k s.f. house with a lake. |

If you work in the city but don't want to live in the city or Cook County it is tough to beat Burr Ridge.

I was riding my bike on in Winnetka a couple weeks ago and I noticed that there are Pace bus stops on Sheridan, right in front of the mansions. I wonder if they put that in the real estate listings: "A real charmer, just steps from public transportation!" |

Is this bigger than that monstrosity they've been building east of Sheridan for the past 10 years that's been ripped down twice without finishing and made bigger? |

Yes, dont think the rendering does it justice. Think twice before you move into this HOOD! http://patch.com/illinois/winnetka/glencoe-blotter-3-underage-drinking-parties-busted-vof973e9fc58 |

I can take pictures of it tomorrow and send it to you. New money, people spending what they got, people saving what they are getting, and not quite big dogs live in Burr Ridge, Hinsdale, Western Springs, Clarendon Hills, and a small area of Downers Grove. I'd have included Oak Brook but that is usually old money. There is somebody in Hinsdale that owns what is the size of a whole block, I could never figure that one out. Still some of the houses are kinda bargainish when you think about it. |

I have no idea why anyone needs or even wants 35,000 SF of space to 'manage". Something must always be wrong somewhere. A leak in a toilet you might not find out about it for weeks until the water gets to your TV room! You better have 5,000 SF at a minimum of a gym, spa, etc to start and that house didnt look like it had such a space. There is the chance the plan was for multiple related families to occupy? |

How much is the gas bill with the ten or so furnaces that will be running all winter? |

I do a bunch of work at a certain 30k SF home for a pretty famous dude here in the area.... and they have people that manage that kind of thing. I mean there's like 4 or 5 people in 2 shifts who manage that kind of thing. It's utterly bizarre to me. |
