Post subject:  Construction truck just took out power lines / light Rand Rd
About 45 minutes ago...Rand Rd and 53. I was going westbound, this happened eastbound....fairly close to my apartment; I may not have electricity tonight.

Rand Rd is being repaved...the inside eastbound lane was closed. A truck coming from 53 trying to turn right onto eastbound Rand had to cut the turn sharp...ended up hopping the curb, and the trailer took out the power line pole...streetlight...telephone pole. Huge greenish blue ball explosion...sparking...the works. Surprised none of the poles hit the construction folks / cars in the area. I could not tell if there were any arcing lines. The construction people started directing traffic away and the westbound traffic I was in was the first ushered away. Wonder if there will be a news article on it.
