So this is a little bit of a thing by me. How do you guys feel about letting your real or imagined lady love in your life go on a solo roadtrip. |

Why would you want to go on a road trip by yourself? |

Hard to say what it is. I think I get the point but it's very hollow. Being by myself would be phenomenal. I don't think my significant other would think it was strange but he'd think it's a bad idea. Mr Spaulding is less of a free spirit than I am and I'm not really a free spirit. |

I get why you're wanting to do it having 2 kids and just the overall joy of having peace and quiet for a few days. We went out to dinner for our anniversary the other day and we kept commenting how strange it was to not have to keep stopping and make sure my son had enough juice our daughter wasn't fussy or my sons hot dog was cut up and not too hot. Your kids are older then mine so you don't have all that as bad anymore but its still there. I get where you're coming from 1000%. That being said, its dangerous to be out traveling by yourself nowadays. |

Just be smart about it. My neighbor does it, even though it pisses off her fiancé. The guy who drags her to a fishing competition literally every weekend from March-November. Sounds like a good time, Spaulding! |

I have no problem with my wife taking a roadtrip by herself. I have to laugh a bit about the idea of me "letting" her. Where are you going to go, Spaulding? |

Sounds like a good way to make your significant other think that you are considering divorce. |

My wife wouldn't want to go alone but if she did I would have no problem with it. As it is right now we take trips together and we take separate (weekend) trips. After the weekends apart the homecomings are especially fun ![]() |

I would say ok. But you need to sleep in crappy places, eat bad food and meet people that stink. TV v. Reality is always interesting. |

My point about safety stands, but if she wanted to go to Cleveland, I would question her sanity. redskingreg wrote: sjboyd0137 wrote: Joe Orr Road Rod wrote: I have no problem with my wife taking a roadtrip by herself. Not a chance in hell I'd let my woman go on a roadtrip by herself but I doubt she'd want to anyways. I'll probably feel different after 20 years of marriage and probably encourage her to go the fuck away for a bit. |
