More commercials in the podcast. Censored content (no swearing) on certain days and a talk show on Spike.

And this is in addition to the thinly veiled infomericals he passed off as interviews

Ultimately, when i have 30 mins of so in traffic, Ill probably still listen to the latest episode but its all going down hill.

damn, you hung in there longer than me/many.

i'll check in if DFG's on, or someone notes something of interest. But I haven't listened regularly in over a year and probably not more than an episodes worth all together this year.

a good current topics discussion podcast, with maybe 90 seconds of ads, that has replaced carolla:

http://detroitcast.com/

it's "detroit" cast, but, other than talking about their boring suburban detroit lives at the top of some shows and the occasional check in with detroit sports teams, it's all national story content.

a podcast i've been enjoying of late: it's focus is real estate, but he uses the real estate market as a jumping off
point to discuss general economic trends/data and market conditions that apply to any kind of investing.

lively intellect and short eps:

I havent listened regularly in a while but just havent had time for podcasts wasnt an anti Carolla move

I still enjoy the news. Ive heard enough of Adam's general complaints about life but him reacting to news is still pretty good

he was shopping the entire podcast biz around last year. looks like he found no takers, and so re-upped with podcast one to sell ads via them for another 5 years.

Carolla will be interesting again once Lynette moves on of her boy toys in full-time and serves him with divorce papers.

interesting that Carolla has all these friends who work in TV (Kimmel, Simmons, even the writer guys who hang out with their crew work on network shows) but the only TV work Adam can get is on SpikeTV on low rent, low ratings shows.

Well, schlepping for internet-based payday loan sharks probably isn't going to buy you a brand new house in Hollywood.

The NAPA/Castrol stuff at the top of the show probably brings in a hefty CPM for Ace, but I've got to believe all those other reads that come with promo codes give a pittance up front and rely heavily on people actually buying stuff from the sponsor, using the promo code....good luck with that. And the debut of a segment dedicated entirely to reminding people they can use his Amazon clickthrough link was a more ominous sign of the times than Ace would have liked to admit.

Sounds like a complete idiot!

What does the economy have to do with the real estate market?

I haven't listened since the Alison Rosen/fan attack about the Road Hard gofundme disasters.
I've got a regular rotation of Greg Proops (The liberal version of Carolla), Comedy Bang! Bang!, Never Not Funny, Lore and Doug Loves Movies.
I just wish Hardcore History was more frequent but I'll take the 4 hour podcast every three months or so.

I want to stab Carolla any time he calls his fucking dog "Philly Cheesesteak." Beyond annoying and it happens a lot.

The show is not as good. Today, we got to hear Ace talk about the urges pedophiles have and how much stronger their libido is for that than ours is for sex with a consenting adult. So riveting that I turned it off and deleted the rest of it. His show is bordering on "listen only when a good guest is on."

She'll wait til Natalia is old enough to go clubbing with her.
