Might as well since they taxed themselves out of ever having any conventions there. |

Great. More hundreds of millions wasted to bring in a certain kind of tourist for four, five, ten years. Between this and the dumbassed DePaul arena, I wish Rahm would find another "neighborhood" for his clownish legacy projects. |

Other than the ceremonial groundbreaking, have they started real construction on the Stadirahm yet? McCormick Place is pretty ugly, but it's a convention center. By design, they all are. They're big, gleaming rectangular prisms of vaguely imposing neutrality. I'm no fan of brutalist architecture, but I could deal with it if we were actually getting people to use the joint. |

This is the same guy who would rather pay 100 million plus in police overtime rather than hire the 2000 cops they're short. Can't see this being a major clusterfuck at all. |

Where will they hold the Chicago Comi-Con once the Museum is built? |

Other than the ceremonial groundbreaking, have they started real construction on the Stadirahm yet? Not that I've noticed. But I really never pay attention on the rare occasion I'm in that area. Makes one wonder. |

But every so often they graduate a shiny new CPD class of say, 75. To solve all the problems with the CPD & address the real public safety issues. Window dressing. |

An astute prostitute could make a lot of money by specializing in the Star Wars themed services. She probably wouldn't even have to engage in intercourse. Seriously though, Star Wars is going on 35 years strong with zero sign of waning interest by fans. I think you underestimate the sustainability of the museum. |

Hell no, they should have torn down SOLDIER'S field for the dome and connected it all into one of the biggest badass convenetionopolis structures in the world. Instead we have the semi closed theatre, the shitty smallest NFL stadium a god damn parking lot that they claim is an outdoor music venue and a field for the 12 birds that still live there. Could have torn down Soldier Field dumped all the crappy columns in the lake and made an island for the birds to inhabit, plus saved a ton on dumping fees. They would play down at U of I for a year...or 2. Amazing doable plan, but everyone always needs a taste in the city of chicago....and they all got a taste, which they took home with them. |
