Maybe it's because no one lives in New Mexico?? |

I'm highly skeptical of any state rankings that has North Dakota at the top. Best run state in the country has motherfuckers sleeping in tents on the side of the highway because they couldn't handle the influx of workers? Get the fuck outta here. |

Wait...so you want the government to get involved in private business? That doesn't seem very FavreFan ish. |

I did not read the article. Based on the OP, it seems as if the article was discussing state government... "Worst-run state." You countered based on issues the private workforce has in North Dakota. I clicked the article...and I feel as if Boyd's hyperlink text may be a bit inaccurate as to what the article covers. |

My post wasn't criticizing any private workforce issues in the state. There are tons of great paying jobs for low skilled workers in North Dakota. The problem is the state is lacking a ton of.... everything to accommodate that. I don't really know shit about North Dakota's state government, but after spending time there it strikes me as funny that it would be considered the country's best run state. |

Unfortunatly many of those jobs are gone. However, its a good thing that the fracking industry is gone. The earth has been polluted enough. |

Been telling you fracking is terrible....but hey, it costs me less to fill up the car....which is because Obama lowered my gas prices , making him the 3rd best President ever. |

That median income ranking is fantastic especially with how low Illinois cost of living is. And really who cares about the debt? You think the federal government is going to let the transportation hub of the entire country go under? You think I-70, 90, 80 and like 80% of transcontinental rail freight are going to go down the tubes and nobody's going to do anything about it? Fuck the budget, crank the lending up to maximum setting and start paying off credit cards with credit cards. The USA can afford to let some Sun Belt shithole like AZ or NM rot. Not so with the state that produces more corn alone than all but 2 or 3 entire countries, has an unlimited supply of fresh water and a city that handles almost all coast-to-coast freight. Get these toolboxes Rahm and Rauner out of office to put an end to their bullshit "impending financial crisis" garbage and replace them with a spending freakazoid who will force the federal government's hand. BAILOUT HERE WE COME. |

New Mexico, while run poorly, isnt running the det Illinois is and if you wanted to sell huge chunks of National land in NM, you could, of course you could sell Harvey, but the buyers are in NM. |

You're gonna piss off Tom Dreesen! Well its such a nice place. Want to buy houses for $1...go to Harvey, Chicago Heights, etc., go to the economic development department and ask for a list of houses with back taxes owed...they will give you the houses, assuming you bring them up to code and make all the repairs. So, if you want to get a house for $1, that needs $100K in work and that will be worth $50K, if you can even find someone to buy it...Harvey is your town. |

I was in Homewood for quite some time. In Ford Heights, I think you can buy a house for $1, and they throw in 5k in drugs for free. |
