No. It has completely gone down the drain. The "Gold Coast" in Bolingbrook Promenade is way, way better:

better seats
better food
better clientele
better service

I prefer umentionables to undesirables.

I guess part of it is that in Woodridge you are waiting for your movie time in what is essentially a waiting room. Everyone standing there, annoying each other, very few places to sit, etc.

In Bolingbrook, there is a gigantic, open lounge area that you can sit and wait and have food/drinks/conversation with your date/party and not be forced to listen to the group next to you bitch about how the book is always so much betterthan the movie. :D Plus, you reserve your actual seat in Bolingbrook ahead of time (like a plane) and you have a private attendant/server that will come and escort you when it's time for your show. It's not a large group of people waiting for the rope to be taken down.

If you haven't tried Gold Coast yet - I stringly encourage you to give it a shot. But it is pricey - but they often have deals or two-for-one type things.

DB - The promenade is "Bolingbrook" by name only. Drew Peterson wouldn't shop there.

The place I was talking about is called ICON ShowPlace and is on Roosevelt Rd. Anybody else been there? It's fairly new and I really like the bar and theater, itself...

I think the one in Bolingbrook is the Gold Class, not Coast. It's excellent but tickets are like $25 each. Hollywood has gone downhill, mostly because the food sucks. You also miss a lot because it's loud in there. Was at the ICON 2 weeks ago and also liked it. It's a cool location/complex and the pick your own seats thing is cool.

Sorry, you're right. I think it is Gold Class. Whatever is in the Promenade.

First time we went there we didn't even know what it was. Just saw the movie we wanted to see was playing at a good time and we went there, then realized it was a fancy smanshy place. We were the only people there that show too. The call buttons on the seats are the best. I hate at Hollywood you can never get the attention of a server when you need something.

Hollywood Blvd. has "seats". Gold Class has oversized suede recliners that are set in pairs with a personal table in between them. With a call button. And a giant compartment for storing the wife's.....um......."essentials".

I never been there but I am considering it now that I found out it has a bar.

Well like I said, we didn't know what kind of place it was so we'd already eaten so nobody ate our wings. We had desert and that was about it. Desert was good though, no idea about the real food.

I highly recomend it.

One thing...

Stay away from the Bacon & Popcorn. No matter how good it sounds when you're drunk.

Yeah my waffle fries were cold like they sitting for an hour.....if that's the case, why did it take 30 minutes for me to receive them?
