WYIN, NW Indiana's PBS outlet (channel 21 on my Comcast, maybe SHARK can pony up the DirecTV, DISH, Ham Radio, etc. frequencies) is showing the 1974 concert film Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones this Saturday at 11:00 pm, with no repeats in the forseeable future. This film, little seen outside of arthouse theaters in the U.S., documents performances in Dallas and Ft. Worth, TX from the 1972 World Tour. The timeframe is significant in that this tour supported the last two of the Stones four canonical masterpieces, Sticky Fingers and Exiles on Main Street. (The 1970 concert film Gimme Shelter documents the tour for the prior two, Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed as well as the chaos and carnage of that tours closing show at Altamont Speedway in California.)

Prior to the Stones film, WYIN is showing a documentary about Jimi Hendrix's performance at Woodstock, which appears to be footage from the original Woodstock movie interspersed with interviews and anecdotes.

Be forwarned, though, that whenever WYIN shows anything cool like this it's usually pledge drive time, so either DVR it or save some laundry to fold or something.
