Went in with high hopes. Tell a secret I even liked the Stallone version cuze I like Dredd,it was camp and lived up to it. This one is a 180 to that one. First off the story is a straight up in your face action film. It gets the R for violence and boy does it deliver. It is fairly true to the comics except for there was not as much humor as in a Dredd story. Karl Urban does a good job playing Dredd,no emotion by the strict interpretation of the book. The gun fights where awesome, the first scene is a slam bang chase. Action stays fast and high energy for the entire movie.Too bad it will not do well enough at the box office to do more.

Yeah, it bombed which is a shame because it has gotten good reviews (RT has it around 80% Fresh). Either way my wife and I will be seeing it in Real 3D tomorrow evening.

I'm liking Urban more in every movie.

This was really good. I saw that it was getting good reviews, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I was glad I did. A throwback to 80's style movies, violence-wise. A simple, no-nonsense plot. The shootouts were well done, and the slo-mo drug hook was creative to give you the slow-motion shots.
