Good movie. It is a little slow in the middle and they really made the time in the canadian embassey seem like more of a party than a quasi hostage situation. I've really been liking John Goodman's work in supporting roles over the last few years and Alan Arkin is really an underappreciated actor.

Still, while this is an interesting story it is really only a companion to the the story of the 60 or so who did not make it out of the embassey. I thought this movie only briefly placed the story in the proper context. I know it was based on CIA agent Mendes account and that he he was only focused on extracating the six.

I give it four out of five uncle sam's burning in effigy.

I didn't believe the hype... but it is a great movie.

I think I wanted to hate it because of Affleck... but its pretty darn good.
