I cannot argue with any of this.

Slight difference. Clerks was hilarious, Mallrats was clerks recycyled but in color and not funny.

I didn't mind Clerks 2. I felt it was better than most of the movies he's made in the last fifteen years. His scripts do suffer from unbelievable dialogue and I feel he often could have used an editor to help him write and cut down on the preachy mini-monologues his characters tend to have.

Clerks is one of the funniest movies ever. There are countless lines that we could all quote off the top of our heads.

I can't think of one single funny line in Mallrats that is quote worthy 20 years later like Clerks.

Randall was such an awesome character I went out and got a job at Coconuts at Diversey and Sheffield my 3rd year of law school just so I could act like him. I ended up getting fired after a month because of "numerous complaints from customers and co-workers".

The only thing I liked from that movie was the "Ass Palm Technique".

No one is going to see Clerks 3, in a theater, for money. No one.

sure did, fall of 96.

Would constantly rip on people's movie choices. Would go on the mic and tell everyone in the store that this was a store and not a library so start buying stuff or get out. Would yell at/hang up on the other Coconut stores when they would call up with questions. Refused to do any side work/cleaning. And much more that I've since forgotten.

He should make sure in the movie there is a fight with Jay and the stewardess after Silent Bob is forced to buy a 2nd plane seat.

Fly Fatass Fly.Use it all the time.

Now ,I am a huge Smith fan but this might not be a good idea. I mean where else can he take Dante and Randall. I would not like to see Randall hanging around and trying to impart life lessons on Dante's kid, there is no way Becky would allow that to happen. Dante is the adult in us and Randall is the part of us that never wants to grow up and accept responsibility for our actions. Hell,I in my 15 plus years as a Clerk in several video stores was at times both Dante and Randall.

Anyone who does not see the brilliance that went into Chasing Amy and Dogma is a fucking moron. Shakes, you are no longer allowed to talk about movies.
Both movies went to places and talked about stuff that most Americans have trouble dealing with, faith and sexuality. Both where both brutal and honest in addressing the issues. If there was not copious about of dick and fart jokes in both they should have been nominated for more than just Spirit Awards. Funniest scene in Chasing Amy got cut from the movie,go watch the outtakes, first one with Steve Dave and Walt in the Comic Shop.

See,I got away with it because I did it with humor witch you obviously lack. People knew it was a bit/routine. I would do stuff like in The Christmas movie display put as my suggestion Lethal Weapon. Or when people asked me for movie choices always no matter what kind or genre they asked for told them Zardox until the third try.
